Pesticide removal
Almost all types of organic substances, including the vast majority of pesticides and solvents, can be removed by activated carbon adsorption. Different substances have different adsorption capacities, and a good result therefore depends on the correct dimensioning and selection of activated carbon for the task at hand.
Chlorine removal
Regardless of whether free chlorine, chloramine, or chlorine dioxide is added to the water, it can be removed with an activated carbon filter before the water is used for process or drinking water purposes. Chlorine can damage the membranes. The removal of chlorine is therefore essential to protect the reverse osmosis demineralization system.
Removal of odor and taste
Activated carbon filters are also used in drinking water applications for the efficient removal of taste and odor. In addition, coloring substances can also be safely removed with activated carbon filters.
