Electrodeionization (EDI)
Electrodeionization (EDI) is used after reverse osmosis to obtain desalinated water with low conductivity and silica values.

EDI uses ion exchange membranes, ion exchange resins, and electricity to produce high-quality water without downtime for regeneration. EDI is an alternative to conventional mixed bed exchangers.

Advantages of EDI
Continuous process
EDI is a simple, continuous process.
Compact systems

EDI systems are very space-saving thanks to their compact design.
No use of chemicals
EDI uses chemical-free regeneration. This eliminates operational interruptions caused by regeneration processes as well as the storage and handling of acids and alkalis.
