Degassing

Degassers reduce the oxygen, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen content in water, mainly to prevent corrosion. We distinguish between membrane degassing, CO2 degassing, and vacuum degassing.
 
Membrane degassing units (MDUs) offer an efficient, compact, and maintenance-free technology for removing carbon dioxide and oxygen from water without chemical treatment. Membrane degassing is a standard technology in industrial applications such as boiler feed water, district heating, power generation, and pharmaceuticals.


The removal of carbon dioxide and oxygen can prevent corrosion in boilers and pipelines, protecting investments, extending the service life of equipment, and reducing operating costs. Removing these gases can also increase process efficiency, e.g., in EDI plants.
